Special Education

In the Hueneme Elementary School District there is a continuum of special education options available to students identified as individuals with special needs. At each school, Speech and Language Therapy services and Resource Specialist services are available to the students. Additional services, such as Occupational Therapy, Adapted P.E., Orientation and Mobility, and Visually Handicapped Services, are available to students when such services are deemed necessary. There are special classes for children with mild to moderate disabilities on most campuses. In some cases, students attend classes outside of Hueneme School District in order to access the most appropriate special education services.
