Lois Capps, U.S. Congress Woman |
  On Monday, May 12th, Bard School received a visit from Congresswoman Lois Capps. Congresswoman Capps arranged the visit after receiving an e-mail from 4th grade student, Noah Alvarado, inviting her to visit his school. Noah’s teacher, Mrs. Kahlberg, had been encouraging her students to contact their federal and state representatives during a social studies unit. Congresswoman Capps answered questions from the 4th, 5th and 6th grade students in the audience. The questions ranged from, “Who is your favorite teacher?” to “What inspired you to become a congresswoman.” |
