Welcome to E. O. Green Junior High School!
I'm Heidi Haines, and it is my privilege and my pleasure to return and serve as principal of E. O. Green JHS. As your principal, my first and foremost job is to promise that your child is safe and learning every day. My staff and students have committed to our school motto, "Everyone at E. O. Green is treated with dignity and respect," a motto that reflects our commitment to our students and to all members of our school community. We strive to provide a positive learning environment that has high expectations both academically and socially for our students, while working to produce literate, responsible, self-disciplined and motivated future members of our society.
Over the summer, we renovated may areas of the school to make it a more welcoming place and to encourage students to take ownership of their school.
- Computer labs have been updated
- Tables and umbrellas are available for students at nutrition and lunch
- A sizable investment has been made in library books to both challenge and entertain our students as they become lifelong readers.
We are grateful to the District and our School Board for their strong support.
Our staff has renewed their commitment to our school and volunteer their time in many capacities this year. Everyone is hard at work supporting our academic goals of increasing test scores again this coming year and supporting student learning. Whether it is tutoring before and after school, teaching Saturday School, moderating ASB, Renaissance, CJSF, cheer team, multimedia club, glee club, ASES and many more after school clubs, our staff is committed to allowing all students to excel in many ways, inside the classroom and out.
I encourage parents to
become an active part in our school. Please come into the office with your photo I.D. and receive your
Parent Connect pin and password. These will allow you to check your student's grades and assignments daily from any computer. I also highly encourage you to
join our PTSA, whether it is through a donation of $6 for membership, donating an hour for school activities, or assisting our amazing and hard-working PTSA Board in all their fundraising efforts. We are grateful for their undying support. Please email our
PTSA President, Mrs. Fuchs if you are interested in joining us.
Please feel free to email any of my admin team (see below) at any time with questions, suggestions or for assistance. Parents and school community members are a valued partner in the important work we do each day and I enjoy working with parents to make our school the best that it can be.
Thank you for entrusting us with your child each day, your most valued treasure. We at E. O. Green are happy to be your partner in the education of your child.
With Hornet Pride,
Heidi Haines
Principal
