APPROVED AND SUPPORTED WEBSITES

The following sites are approved for use and supported by the HESD Technology Department

G Suite

Google productivity tools for classroom collaboration

EADMS

A place for assessment and data management

ESGI

An assessment tool for teachers to use as they guide kinder and 1st grade emergent readers

Kids A-Z 
Supporting our students in their quest to become fluent readers

Moby Max

 Supporting students as they strive to master language arts and math skills

Typing Club

Helping students improve keyboarding skills, preparing students to type as quickly as they think.  

Pearson EnVision

Kinder-5th grade adopted Math curriculum

Newsela
Engaging readers with non-fiction texts to prepare them  with real world literacy skills

Acc. Reader

Reinforcing and rewarding reading comprehension

Starfall

Reinforcing early literacy skills for our youngest students

Brain Pop

Entertaining all ages with content based videos and comprehension activities.


Other approved apps & Sites

These can be safely used in the classroom.  If student accounts are required, teachers may guide students to create accounts.  If a "sign in with google" button is available, this is the recommended way for students to access the site/app.

  • Buncee (mixed media slide presentations and resource curating)
  • Epic! books (access to digital texts for Read to Self and Listen to Reading)


Conditionally Approved

The teacher is required to get permission from the parent before student accounts are created--per the privacy policy.  These websites can be used by students after parents give permission.


TEACHER TOOLS ONLY

STUDENTS MAY NOT CREATE ACCOUNTS because of limitations in the privacy policy. These websites are great for teacher use.

SchoolBlocks offers a unique and powerful personalized search system. A member of the public, searching for "homework" might see an announcement from the school as the first result. However, if the user is logged in, they would see their teacher’s latest homework assignment as the top result.
