Hello Larsen Parents and Community Members,

I am pleased to be the new principal of Ansgar Larsen Elementary. Just to give you a little introduction, I have been an administrator for the past nine years. After earning my Masters Degree, I had the honor to work at several elementary schools for the Moreno Valley Unified School District as an administrator.

I have worked in the field of education for 13 years and just received my doctorate degree in Education, in Counseling and Psychology. This gives me another area of expertise which allows me to educate the “whole child”.  I am dedicated to helping students to become life-long learners as well as productive citizens in the 21^stcentury.

I truly enjoy being an elementary principal and setting the tone for our students’ futures. I am proud to follow in Irma Villanueva’s footsteps. I am excited to continue the tradition of excellence to which she and the Larsen team have dedicated.   I look forward to meeting you; the children, parents, and teachers I will serve. My main goals as a principal are to ensure that the students are safe, and that they can come to school to find a pleasant educational and physical environment.

As a staff, we will insist on providing the academic, social, and physical education necessary for all children from our diverse, multicultural community to succeed academically. We want our students to possess the knowledge, skills, and self-confidence needed to ensure success in both their current and future lives.
