Welcome to Blackstock

Welcome Blackstock families and community,

As principal of Charles F. Blackstock Junior High School, it is my pleasure to welcome everyone back for another great year at Blackstock. We are excited to have students returning to our classrooms and campus. Our campus is a vibrant collection of educators and lifelong learners who are dedicated to moving our school and community forward in positive directions. One of our primary goals is to make every child feel welcomed, connected and a part of the Blackstock family. Additionally, we strive to challenge each and every student to grow to their fullest academic potential. Here at Blackstock we have great teachers who spend hours planning and creating classroom activities to engage our students in learning. Our teachers utilize research based best practices and technology to develop skill levels and set goals for growth and improvement. We believe that all of our students should be prepared to meet the demands of future educational challenges, meaningful careers and effective citizenship.

Please join us for our monthly “Café con Leche” meetings which are held every first Thursday of the month. Enjoy our guest speaker presentations as they provide a wealth of information to you and your family. “Café con Leche” also provides an opportunity for you to meet with our administrative and counseling teams, on an informal basis, in order to ask questions and get the support that you need.

As part of our commitment to serve our community, the administrative team and I encourage you to email our Blackstock staff with any questions, comments or concerns that you may have regarding your child or our school programs. We hope that you will find our website helpful and informative. We have already entered several important dates, events and activities into the “Calendar” feature of our website.

I am honored to serve as the principal of Charles F. Blackstock Junior High School. It is truly a privilege for me to be part of a community where parents, teachers and students care for each other. Let’s strive to recognize and celebrate the gifts of our families, our amazing blend of cultures and the rich languages represented in our community.

Once again, welcome back! Let’s all work together to make it another outstanding year at Blackstock~

Sincerely,

Thomas E. Beneke, Principal
